2013 ALTERNATIVE VOTER GUIDES: League Of Women Voters

Note: We do not endorse alternative voter guides. In fact, in some cases we link to voter guides produced organizations with goals contrary to our own.  Nonetheless, we believe you may find considering an alternative voter guide (like the one that follows) helpful in validating our work.

Vote411.org is a project of the League of Women Voters. The LWV describes itself on its About The League page.  That includes this statement.

League of Women Voters Mission Statement
The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy.

The LWV is not overtly partisan, but no organization is without bias.  Therefore, Republicans seem somewhat less responsive to the LWV’s questions. Why? The answer probably lies in the questions.

Vote411.org lists Virginia’s races here. Oddly, this page does not list the Virginia House Districts in order. Nonetheless, the House District races pertinent to Prince William County and Manassas, the 2nd, 13th, 31st, 40th, 50th, 51st and 87th House districts, are listed, and for the most part both major party candidates responded.
